Well, folks, we are officially into the New Year, and since this is an election year, we are going to be hearing a lot about politics, but one thing is for sure, we need a new President. I'm fearful for this country if we don't make a change. Okay, back to music. I still don't have my new album ready but it is getting closer. I think we may be able to wrap it up around the end of this month. I'll keep you posted on the progress. In the meantime, keep checking and listening.....and make it country!

Hey, everybody. Christmas is almost here, and it's a "love/hate" relationship for me. I love the Christmas lights, Christmas songs, and especially the reason we celebrate the season, getting together with family for a big Christmas dinner, eating too much and then watching the little ones open their presents, but the part that is frustrating is trying to figure out what to get for everyone, wondering if your funds will stretch far enough and trying to get it all done before Christmas day. Somehow it all seems to work out every year. I hope that each and everyone of you will have a wonderful and joyful Christmas and that the New Year brings you all that you wish for........and try not to make too many New Year's Resolutions that you can't keep!!

I am a fan of many of these artists, and I have been receiving some great feedback from a lot of my fellow artists, and I'm glad to be a member of this organization. Check it out. Hey folks, I hope that everybody is able to be with at least part of their family, and that you have many things to be thankful for. I must tell you, I am truly blessed. I have a wonderful family, and most of us will be together this Thanksgiving. Our daughter is coming up from Texas, and we've got some great food planned and we plan on having some great fun together.

I'm afraid I haven't been as active in social networking as I should be, but I'm happy to announce that I am in the process of building a new Facebook page just for my music, and as soon as it's up and running, I will add a link to it so you can see what's going. I hope you'll join me there and "like" some of my messages. I'm anxious to see how that works.

I'm excited about bringing some of my tunes I've recorded in the past out of the archives and releasing a new CD. Some of the older technology has to be converted to new technology, but I have hired the perfect person to complete this project for me....Mr. Tom Smith of Tom Smith Music in Dallas, Texas. I have worked with him on many projects in the past, and he is the best. So stay tuned, because more music is on its way. I'll share it on Facebook and Twitter and hopefully, that will catch most of my music fans. In the meantime, keep playing music, it's the universal language.

Dawn Anita is proud to have been selected as one of the country music artists from Stephens County, Oklahoma, to have a song on a commemorative CD containing 15 songs to help raise funds. Fellow recording artist, Joe Diffie, also has a song on this CD, along with several other talented folks from Stephens County. The song chosen to be on the CD by Dawn Anita is an award winning song penned by Dawn Anita and her mother, LaVerna Diffie, entitled "There'll Be No One to Live Out on the Farm". Dawn Anita is in the process of taking her "Lady Elvis" show on the road in the fall. She will be making appearances at many Indian Casinos and other locations all across the midwest. This is an exciting "fun-filled" show, so be sure and attend when she appears in your area.

Dawn Anita is presently touring throughout the southwest performing at Cowboy Churches promoting her gospel album. Be sure and watch for her in your area. She has been received exceptionally well by all.

As the third place winner of the the Chickasaw National Recreation Area 2005 Songwriter Festival with a song called "Kay-Yah Chickasaw", Dawn Anita will be performing at their Centennial Celebration on June 17, 2006. In the spirit of reuniting families in traditional outdoor recreation, this should be a fun time for all, so come and join Dawn Anita on that day.
